Emails will be picked up 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday (working days) and responded to as soon as possible.
SUPERVISION FORMAT & FREQUENCY
Supervision takes place via online video appointments (usually Skype). Supervision is most commonly scheduled on a fortnightly basis but may be tailored to your professional needs.
NUMBER OF SUPERVISION SESSIONS
Supervision is usually assumed to be on an open-ended basis but this may be reviewed at any time.
QUALIFICATIONS & MEMBERSHIPS
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist with the British Psychological Society. I am also registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council) and I am an accredited CBT therapist with the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies).
FEES
£120 per session for individual supervision – sessions last 45-50 minutes.
Fees can be paid by bank transfer or using the sharipsychology.com website. If you would like to pay via your employer, please contact me to advise me of this.
Please ensure fees are either paid before each session takes place or within 24 hours. I will be unable to offer you a next session until the fees from the previous one are settled.
Fees may be reviewed and changed at the start of each financial year (April). Should there be any changes, you will be notified of these in advance.
CANCELLATIONS
I will always give you as much notice as possible if I am unable to attend a session and ask you to please do the same. Please understand that if sessions are cancelled at short notice, I will be unable to offer the time to another client/supervisee. It is therefore necessary for me to apply the following charges irrespective of your reasons for cancelling.
If you need to cancel a session:
Cancellation with more than 2 working days' notice: no fee.
Cancellation with 1 working days' notice: half of usual session fee.
Cancellation with less than 1 working days' notice: full fee payable.
Cancellation notice period may differ for NHS supervisees.
RISK & CONFIDENTIALITY
In case of perceived urgent clinical risk to a client, the supervisee should consult with his / her line manager at the first opportunity to ensure patient safety is prioritised and immediate steps can be taken, where necessary.
Where the supervisor has concerns about clinical risk or concerns about the practice of a supervisee, this will be discussed with the supervisee. Where appropriate, the supervisor may also contact the supervisee's line manager / tutor directly, both in the interests of the supporting the wellbeing of the supervisee and in ensuring best clinical practice.
The supervisee will keep a log of the content of the supervision, which may then be added to and signed by the supervisor. Both supervisor and supervisee should hold a copy of this document.
All notes should be password protected / locked in a secure environment.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The supervisor will take responsibility for creating a safe space (online), monitoring the supervisory relationship, time keeping, managing the overall agenda of sessions, monitoring ethical issues and giving feedback where appropriate
The supervisee will take responsibility for preparing for supervision, presenting in supervision, keeping a log of the content of supervision (and providing a copy of this to the supervisor) and providing feedback to the supervisor where appropriate.
