Guidelines for Conducting Remote Therapy
• Attempt to set aside 45-50 minutes of protected time, as you would have if attending a session in person – this may involve turning off alerts on your phone as usual, not answering the door and, where necessary, ensuring alternative childcare is provided for this period of time.
• As far as possible, find an environment for your session which is quiet, feels safe, where you won’t be intruded upon, and where you won’t be overheard.
• If you need to pause the session at any time (for example because someone else has entered the room and you can no longer talk privately), please just let me know as I probably won’t be able to see or hear this from my side.
• Do what you can to ensure you’re somewhere with good internet connection.
• Where it is appropriate for me to give you a worksheet or other information in session, I will email this to you instead, either during the session for immediate use, or afterwards if relevant to a between session task, so immediate access to your emails would be helpful
• If you have completed an exercise between sessions, please email this to me (or a legible scan or photograph of this) before the session so that I can take a look and have this handy for use in session.
